1. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in not granting the benefit of Non Practicing Allowances (NPA) the present writ petition has been filed.

2. According to the counsel for the petitioner, under the circulars governing the field, since the petitioner has been discharging administrative charge for the last 5 years, he is entitled for NPA. However, in spite of completing all

requisite formalities and approaching the respondents on repeated occasions his claim for grant of NPA has till date not been finalized or settled.

3. State counsel, referring to the correspondence attached to the writ petition, submits that it appears that the claim of the petitioner is under consideration before the authority concerned.

4. Given the said submission by the counsel for the parties, this Court is of the opinion that as of now the writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents 1 & 2 to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner so far as the grant of NPA is concerned for the period the petitioner has been discharging administrative charge, in terms of the circulars and regulations governing the field of grant of NPA. Let an appropriate decision be taken by the respondents 1 & 2 at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
