1. Aggrieved by the two punishment orders dated 27.03.2021 (Annexure P/1) and 29.11.2020 (Annexure P/2), the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Shri Rajkumar Gupta appearing for the respondents submits that after the writ petition was filed, the department i.e. the Appellate Authority before whom the petitioner had preferred a departmental appeal, have passed an order on 14.04.2021 and the orders of punishment have since been modified. Counsel for the respondents further points out that under the rules governing the service conditions of the petitioner, the petitioner having availed the remedy of appeal, there is also a further remedy of revision against the order passed by the Appellate

Authority. On this count also, the writ petition would not be sustainable.

Having heard the contentions put forth on either side and on perusal of records particularly taking into consideration the subsequent developments where the departmental appeal stands partly allowed as informed by the counsel for the respondents, the writ petition at this juncture is disposed of permitting the petitioner to avail the other remedies available under the service rules governing the filed i.e. by preferring a revision before the Revisional Authority and thereafter if grievance still sustains to take appropriate remedies under the writ jurisdiction.

4. With the aforesaid liberty, the writ petition stands accordingly stands disposed of.
