Perused the letter received from the Judicial Magistrate First Class. Perused the order dated 20.03.2019 passed in CRMP No.715 of 2019 wherein it was directed that the trial Court may expedite the proceeding within a period of 1 year and shall make all endeavor to complete the trial.

The letter under reference shows that the order was received by the trial Court on 09.04.2019 whereby the case is to be decided till 08.04.2020; however, due to lock-down operated from 24.03.2020, the case could not be decided.

Considering the issue of pandemic and lock-down as is prevailing in normal functioning of Court, further 6 months time is granted to the trial Court from today to decide the Criminal Case No.7766/2017 from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
