1. Though return has not been filed, learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner's claim for grant of medical leave has been forwarded to the Commissioner, Higher Education on 3rd July 2017 by the Principal of the College where the petitioner remained posted. He submits that as the application has already been forwarded way back on 3rd July 2017, the Commissioner would be deciding the matter at the earliest, preferably within a period of 2 weeks.

2. In view of the statement so made, I am inclined to dispose off the matter at this stage with a direction to respondent No.2/Commissioner to decide petitioner's application for medical leave and consequent payment of salary

-2within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

3. The petition is accordingly disposed off.
