The grievance of the petitioner in this petition seems to be seniority granted to him in the provisional gradation list published on 13.07.2018 showing seniority as on 01.04.2018.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that there is some discrepancy which has arisen in publishing the provisional gradation list inasmuch as juniors to the petitioner have been shown over and above the petitioner in the gradation list. According to the petitioner objections were called for against the provisional gradation list and the petitioner has also submitted his objections on 25.07.2018, however, no final decision thereafter has been taken by the authorities concerned. Hence this writ petition. 3.

The State counsel does not oppose disposal of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the objection so filed by the petitioner in accordance to its merit.

In view of the same, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents No.2&4 to take an appropriate decision on the objections so filed by the petitioner in respect to the provisional gradation list published on 13.07.2018 showing seniority as on 01.04.2018. It is expected that the respondents No.2&4 shall take a decision at the earliest preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

It is made clear that the authorities would take a decision before the final gradation list is published.
