Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner has not been promoted on the post of Teacher (Panchayat) under Rule 18 (1) (b) of the Panchayat Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1999 (for short "the Rules of 1999"), against which he has made representation before the Chief Executive Officer, Jila Panchayat, Bastar, which has not been considered and decided by the said authority till now and therefore, direction may be issued to the said authority to decide the same expeditiously.

Prayer appears to be fair and reasonable.

Be that as it may, the Chief Executive Officer, Jila Panchayat, Bastar is directed to consider and take a decision on the pending representation of the petitioners in accordance with Rule 18(1)(b) of the Rules of 1999 preferably within a period of three 3 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed off. No order as to cost(s).
