1. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in not taking a decision on the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. According to the petitioner all the requisite formalities required on the part of the petitioner has already been done and the concerned Principal has also forwarded the claim application of the petitioner to the office of respondent no.3, the District Education Officer. However, thereafter there has been no further progress made on the claim of the petitioner.

-2According to the petitioner it is a case where father of the petitioner Late Kanhaiya Lal Kaushik died in harness on 26.07.2012 and till date the respondents have not finalized the claim of the petitioner and in the process the petitioners are facing great hardship in sustaining themselves.

Given the aforesaid factual backdrop, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petition at this juncture can be disposed of directing the respondent no.3 to take a decision on the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment at the earliest in accordance with the policy governing the filed preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
