1. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has preferred an election petition calling in question the election of respondent No.1 as councilor of ward No.9 Municipal Council, Akaltara, in the month of

February, 2015, however, despite lapse of more than one year and four months, the matter has not progressed as the opposite party is unnecessarily delaying the matter. He would submit that the election petition is ordinarily required to be decided within a period of six months, therefore, direction may be issued to the Election Tribunal to decide the petition at the earliest.

2. Having considered the entire facts situation of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Election Tribunal to make all possible endeavour to decide the election petition at the earliest, preferably within a period of six months from today.
