1. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in not deciding the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. According to the petitioner, his father late Munnaram @ Shyam Kishore Sahu was working under the respondents on the post of MTS (Class-IV) as a regular employee. He died in harness on 27.10.2014. According to the petitioner, on the date of death the deceased was survived by his widow, two sons and two daughters. Since all the family members were totally dependent upon the income of the deceased, the petitioner moved an application for compassionate appointment on 10.12.2014.

3. It is contention of the petitioner that inspite of repeated approaches being made to the respondents no decision till date has been taken on the said application and the same is pending consideration since long. Lastly the

-2counsel for the petitioner submits that the entire family is facing great hardship in maintaining themselves after death of the deceased employee.

4. Given the said facts and the submissions as stated by the counsel for the petitioner and also reflected from the pleadings in the writ petition, this court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the writ petition at this juncture is disposed of directing the respondents to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment in accordance with policy governing the field and the rules and regularization applicable. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondents so far as the order passed by this court is concerned.
