(3) Accordingly, respondent No. 2- Inspector General of Police is directed to decide the appeal of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
(4) With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
(5) It is made clear this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the authority concerned is at liberty to decide the same in accordance with law.
