1. The transfer order is under challenge on the ground that the petitioner has been transferred at the fag end of his service as he is going to retire on 31.10.2017.

2. Taking into consideration the provision contained in clause 1.9 of transfer policy dated 11.07.2017 that the Government servant is going to retire within less than one year, he has to be given an option for being posted in his home district or a district of his choice, it would be appropriate to direct consideration of the petitioner's representation. If the petitioner prefers representation within a period of 15 days from today, the same shall be considered and decided within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. For a period of six weeks, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner to compel him to proceed on transfer.

3. The petition is accordingly disposed off.
