The petitioner has challenged the advertisement Annexure P/4 dated 21.9.2012 issued by respondent No.3 and merit list subsequent to the advertisement.

The State has filed the return supported by affidavit stating inter-alia that by Annexure R/1 dated 11.8.2015 advertisement dated 21.9.2012 itself has been cancelled. 3.

Since the advertisement itself has been cancelled, there is no cause of action for continuing the present writ petition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the legality and validity of Annexure R/1 dated 11.8.2015 in accordance

with law, if permissible.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition finally stands disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
