(2) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the departmental enquiry against the petitioner is pending consideration since 2005 before the competent authority, against which, he has made representation before the competent authority, which has not been considered and decided by the competent authority till this date and, therefore, direction may be issued to the competent authority to consider and decide the same expeditiously.

(3) Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the departmental enquiry will be concluded within a period of six months from today.

(4) In view of the above submissions made by learned counsel for the respondents, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the pending departmental enquiry against the petitioner be concluded in accordance with law preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order by the disciplinary authority. (5) Certified copy as per rules.
