Hon'ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal Order On Board By 09/02/2017 (1) Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner are entitled to be promoted for the promotional post of Executive Engineer under the reserved quota but the meeting of Departmental Promotion Committed has not been convened since 2014 and therefore, the petitioners could not be considered for promotion.

(2) On the other hand, counsel for the State submits that procedure for promotion is under the way, which has been averred in para 10 of the reply, which states as under:-

"10. That, thus, in the light of the submissions made hereinabove, it is apparent that since the procedure for promotion in under way and therefore, the present petition is not maintainable and accordingly is liable to be dismissed being pre-mature."

(3) In view of the aforesaid submissions, the respondents are directed to convene the meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order as the matter is pending consideration since 2014.
