1. The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to the petitioner has been regularized in the services under the respondents on 16/05/1989. Till date his services have not been confirmed by the department. He is still being treated as a Temporary employee.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that respondents No. 3 & 4 has already recommended the case of the petitioner to the respondent

No. 2 for necessary orders in this regard vide his letter dated 18/11/2016.

3. Given the limited grievance which the petitioner has raised this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the respondent No. 2 & 3 are directed to ensure that appropriate orders be passed on the claim of the petitioner for confirmation and for which the Chief Engineer has already written a letter to the Engineer in chief vide his correspondence dated 18/11/2016. It is expected that respondents No. 2 & 3 shall take a decision at the earliest preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
