The contempt matter arises from the alleged non-compliance of the order/direction given by this Court as per the judgment dated 27.06.2017 in Writ Petition (S) No. 1203 of 2015.

The learned counsel appearing for the Respondents/Contemnors submits that the version put forth by the Petitioners is not correct. In pursuance to the directions given by this Court in the writ petition, the matter was considered and an order was passed on 19.01.2018 holding that the Petitioners are not eligible to have the benefit or regularisation flowing from the Government circular dated 05.03.2018 and also in the light of the verdict
passed by the Apex Court in Secretary, State of Karnataka & Others v. Umadevi & Others; (2006) 4 SCC 1.

It is further brought to the notice of this Court, as conceded by the learned counsel for the Petitioners that the order passed by the authority concerned rejecting the claim has already been subjected to challenge in a separate proceedings and the same is pending before this Court. 4.
In the said circumstances, without prejudice to the rights and liberties to the parties on both the sides to project their contentions with regard to the merit involved, this contempt petition stands dismissed as no contemptuous conduct on the part of the Respondents/Contemnors is brought out.
