(2) The present petition has been preferred by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the respondents to take a decision so far as the status of the present petitioner is concerned. (3) According to the petitioner, he was initially appointed as Sub Auditor in the department of respondent authorities in the year 1981 and in due course of time, he was promoted on the post of Coperative

Inspector and subsequently, he was again promoted on the post of Senior Coperative Inspector vide order dated 19.02.2013, on which he is still discharging his duties.

(4) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though he has discharged his duties as Senior Coperative Inspector w.e.f. 19.02.2013 but his promotion to the Senior Coperative Inspector has not been confirmed. He further submits that a Committee for consideration of the case of the petitioner and similarly placed employees for confirmation, was constituted by the respondent authorities in the year 2014. However, no decision has been taken by the said Committee. In the meanwhile, respondent No.2 i.e. The Registrar, Coperative Societies, Raipur has also issued a letter to the Coperative department of the State Government seeking for the guidelines so far as the confirmation in the Coperative Department is concerned.

He further submits that the present petitioner is to retire in the month of February, 2017 and in case if the petitioner's claim is not decided then the retiral dues shall have a adverse effect. (5) Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the matter in respect of the petitioner and other similarly placed employees is already under consideration and a Committee in this regard has also been constituted as early as in the year 2014 and it is under process.

(6) In view of the submission made by the State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents No.1 & 2 to ensure that the Committee constituted in this regard, so far as

the claim of the present petitioner for his confirmation is concerned, shall take a decision at the earliest preferably within a period of three months from today.

(7) With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
