Both the writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners seeking for issuance of a direction to the respondents to consider their case for promotion to the post of Secretary, Grade-III.

The respondent-State has filed its reply wherein it has been stated that the petitioners case has since been considered and vide order dated 29.06.2005 (Annexure R-1/1) they have been granted pay scale of the post of Secretary (Junior) w.e.f. 15.09.2003 onwards. Based on the said order dated 29.06.2005, learned counsel for the respondents submit that the grievance of the petitioners has since been redressed and nothing further remains to be adjudicated upon. 3.

At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that these petitions may be disposed of in the light of the order dated 29.06.2005 reserving their rights to prefer a representation if any claim still has not been granted by the respondents. 4.

Accordingly, in the light of the order dated 29.06.2005, whereby the petitioners have been granted pay scale of Secretary (Junior) w.e.f. 15.09.2003, both the petitions stand disposed of. However, it is made clear that in the event if the petitioners have any grievance which has not been redressed till now, they would be at liberty to make a suitable representation to the respondents for redressal of their grievance.

5. Accordingly, both the petitions stand disposed of with the aforesaid liberty.
