1. The learned counsel for the applicants submits that the defects pointed out have been cured and that if any substantial defect is still there, that shall also be cured today itself.
2. This petition is for extension of time to complete the enquiry as ordered by this Court as per judgment dated 25.09.2019 passed in WA No.295 of 2019.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the applicants as well as the learned counsel for the respondent.
4. The learned counsel for the applicants makes a reference to the contents of the petition, giving the sequence of dates and events in a chronological
order. It is stated that the respondent joined duty only on 06.01.2020 and immediately, an Enquiry Officer was appointed on 14.01.2020. It is stated that steps are going on accordingly and the last sitting of the enquiry was on 17.04.2020. The learned counsel also submits that a further 6 months' time is required because of the spreading of pandemic COVID19, to complete the process.
5. In response to the submission made by the learned counsel for the applicants, the learned counsel for the respondent submits that 'two months' would be sufficient for this purpose.
6. After hearing both the sides and considering the facts and circumstances, we find it appropriate to grant a further time of 'four months' from today, to complete the enquiry.
7. Accordingly, MCC stands disposed off.
