The present contempt petition has been filed alleging willful noncompliance of the order dated 16.1.2017 passed by this Court in W.P.S. No. 186/2017.

On a notice being issued to the Respondent, he has filed his reply wherein he has categorically stated that after due consideration of the entire factual matrix of the case, the State Government vide its order dated 21.7.2017 has rejected the claim of the Petitioners and the said order was passed keeping in view the order passed by this Court in W.P.S. No. 186/2017 which was disposed of vide order dated 16.1.2017. Copy of order dated 21.7.2017 has also been brought on record by the Counsel for the Respondent and the same also finds mention in the reply. 3.

In view of the fact that the claim of the Petitioners having been duly considered and rejected by the Respondent, this Court is of the opinion that nothing further remains to be adjudicated upon in the present contempt petition as the order of this Court stands complied with in its letter and spirit. However, the Petitioners would be at liberty, if they so chose, to challenge the same in an appropriate fresh proceeding altogether.
