(2) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father died in harness on 05.03.2015 during service in the South Eastern Coalfields Limited. The petitioner has made an application for grant of compassionate appointment before the respondent authorities, which is pending consideration till this date and, therefore, a direction may be issued to the said authorities to decide the same expeditiously.

(3) Prayer appears to be fair and reasonable.

(4) Be that as it may, respondent authorities are directed to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. (5) With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
