1. The dispute in the present writ petition is only so far as non releasing of the GPF amount payable to the petitioner on his retirement is concerned.

2. According to the petitioner the petitioner has taken voluntary retirement and stood retired w.e.f. 31/12/2016. Though more than two

years have lapsed, the petitioner has not been released of his provident fund which he is entitled for.

3. Counsel for the respondent No. 2 referring to Annexure (P-2) submits that from the records it appears that there were certain withdrawals made from the GPF account of the petitioner and respondent No. 2 therefore has called upon the employer to provide necessary details to finalize the GPF dues payable to the petitioner.

Given the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending rather ends of justice would meet if the respondent No. 3 & 4 are directed to ensure that the relevant records pertaining to GPF account of the petitioner including the details of the periodical withdrawals if any made by the petitioner be produced before respondent No. 2 at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from today and respondent No. 2 in turn shall process the records that respondent No. 3 & 4 would be submitting within a further period of 60 days thereafter and if required, respondent No. 2 may also call upon the petitioner so far as verification of his GPF amount is concerned and finalize the proceedings within a period of 60 days from the date the records are received by the respondent No. 2. In case, if any payment is payable to the petitioner, then appropriate steps should be taken for releasing the payment forthwith without any further delay.
