1. The limited grievance which the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondent to take a decision on the application for voluntary retirement that the petitioner has filed.

2. According to the petitioner, vide application dated 29.06.2018. The petitioner had submitted an application for voluntary retirement praying for the petitioner to be treated as voluntarily retired w.e.f 30.09.2018 but till date inspite of the reminders being sent, no decision has been taken on the said application.

3. Given the said fact this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the respondent No. 2 is directed to ensure that a decision is taken at the earliest on the application for voluntary retirement that the petitioner has filed. It it expected that respondent

No. 2 shall take a decision within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
