1. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in not considering the application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. According to the petitioner the father of the petitioner died in harness working on the post of Head Master on 18.11.2019. The petitioner thereafter moved an application on 16.01.2020. However, till date no decision has been taken by the respondents in deciding his claim application. Contention of the petitioner is that he was solely dependent upon the income of his deceased father.

3. Considering the submissions that the counsel for the petitioner has made and particularly when his/her application is till date pending consideration before respondent authorities, without expressing on the merits of the case, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the

-2respondent no.2 & 3 to take appropriate decision on the application for compassionate appointment moved by the petitioner in accordance with the policy for compassionate appointment governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
