Agrawal Order On Board 01/11/2017 (1) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that respondent No.1-Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board by impugned order dated 29.04.2006 has declined to grant sanction for prosecution of respondent No.4 namely Mr. R.P. Thakur, Additional Superintending Engineer, Civil Division, CSEB, Raipur under Sections 7, 13(1)D and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, hence this petition.

(2) Mr. B.D. Guru, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent No.4 would submit that respondent No.4 has already

retired from service.

(3) Since respondent No.4 has already retired from service and, as such now no sanction is required to prosecute him. However, the petitioner is at liberty to proceed in accordance with law.

(4) With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to costs.
