Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that till date there is no decision by the respondent/authority with regard to handing over of the current charge as directed by this Court in WP (S) No. 261/14.

There is no specific time limit prescribed by the Court to consider the representation. The

authority is required to take a decision within a reasonable time. 3.

Accordingly, I am not inclined to issue any notice. However, the authority shall decide the matter as early as possible. Considering that the order was passed way back on 19 June, 2014, if no order is passed by the respondent -authority within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order which is now being passed, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive his contempt proceedings.
