1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has in this petition is that he had appeared in the recruitment process for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor (Botany/Biology) and vide select list dated 19.01.2021 he was found meritorious, however, till date he has not been called for either interview, document verification or counseling whereas, according to the petitioner, the other selected candidates for other subjects have been in-between called for.

2. Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has raised, this court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending rather ends of justice would meet if the respondents as also the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission is directed to look into the matter and take appropriate steps in accordance with guidelines governing the recruitment process and proper intimation be also given to the petitioner. It is ordered accordingly.

-23. It is expected that the respondents shall promptly take necessary steps if the petitioner is meritorious and is entitled to be considered to further process of recruitment. Let necessary steps be also taken. The State counsel as also the counsel for the Chhattisgarh State Public Service Commission shall communicate the order passed by this court to the respective authorities.
