Learned counsel appearing for the Railways submits that the request of the Petitioner for compassionate appointment has been duly considered and it has been decided that such relief be granted. It is further submitted that the Establishment is carrying out the due process and would issue appointment order shortly.

We record the submission and order this writ petition directing that notwithstanding any adverse decision by the Railways which may be reflected in the impugned decisions, the Railways will honour its commitment recorded above and will provide compassionate appointment to the Petitioner at the earliest.

The writ petition is ordered accordingly without entering on merits and leaving open all such contentions.
