In the present Writ Petition, the petitioner is the widow of Late Anand Singh an employee of the South Eastern Coal Field Limited who died in - harness on 16/05/2014 after a prolonged illness.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that after the death of the employee, the petitioner has a right to be consider for grant of death-cumretiral dues and also for grant of the monetary benefits which were otherwise payable to the deceased. He further submits that he has been approaching the authorities repeatedly, but till date no decision has been taken by the authorities.

Given the limited nature of grievance raised by the petitioner, let the petitioner make a fresh representation to the respondents No.2 & 4 and it shall be the duty of the respondents No.2 & 4 to process the case of the petitioner in accordance with the documents available with the respondents and shall process and decide the matter and try to redress the grievance of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4.

The respondent authorities can also seek for appropriate documents from the petitioner to establish her status so far as the relationship with the deceased employee is concerned.
