1. Heard.

2. The petitioner's late father Bhagwan Singh Verma died in harness while working as Attendant Grade-II in the ofÏce of Junior Engineer, CSEB, Tilda, Raipur.

3. The petitioner moved an application for grant of compassionate

appointment on 4.5.2006, which was rejected vide order dated 18.8.2006-Annexure P/6 on the ground that the death of the petitioner's father having take place prior to 15.11.2000, the application need not be processed.

4. It is common ground that in batch of similar matters i.e. WPS No.360 of 2015 (Raja Ram Kosle Vs. Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited and others) and other connected petitions, decided on 8.4.2015, while dealing with similar matter, this Court referred to the order passed by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in SLP (Civil) No.19197/2006 as also the order passed by this Court in the matter of Dhiraj Kumar Vs. State of Chhattisgarh and others (WPS No.6476 of 2014 decided on 28.1.2015), wherein, directions were issued, as contained in para 9 of the order, which is reproduced below : "9. For the foregoing, the present batch of writ petitions is disposed of in the following manner:- ◦The petitioners shall submit fresh representations within a period of one month, along with copies of the earlier applications filed by each of them and supporting documents before the Manager, HRD, Chhattisgarh State Power Holding Company Limited, Dangania, District Raipur.

◦On such representations being filed, the respondents shall decide the same strictly in accordance with the policy dated 30.1.1997 .

◦It is made clear that while deciding the representations, the respondents would be at liberty to take into

consideration the law laid down by the Supreme Court in various decisions as also the law laid down by the Division Bench of this Court in WA No.588/2013."

5. Having perused the order passed by this Court in Raja Ram Kosle (supra), it appears, the matter in issue in the present writ petition is similar, therefore, this petition is also disposed of in the same terms.

6. No order as to costs.
