Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioners would submit that the petitioners' land has already been taken by the respondent No. 3- Public Works Department for construction of road but neither land acquisition proceedings has been initiated nor any compensation has been paid to the petitioners.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners. 3.
Be that as it may, the petitioners are at liberty to make a representation before the Collector, Baloda Bazar, Bhatapara and in that event the Collector shall do the needful and take effective steps in that regard expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
