1. Heard.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a departmental enquiry has been commenced at the fag end of the service as the petitioner is going to be retired on 30.06.2020. He would further submit that since the petitioner is aged about 60 years and the departmental enquiry is being conducted day to day and in the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation it is extremely difficult for him to attend each and every date, therefore, the breather is being sought for in conducting the departmental enquiry along with the fact that the petitioner has

made a representation Annexure P-8 the same may be directed to be decided.

3. Learned counsel for the respondents-SECL would submit that they are ready to decide the representation of the petitioner.

4. Taking into the submission of the petitioner that the breather has been sought for in the COVID-19 pandemic situation as also taking into the age of the petitioner, the respondent authorities may consider the request of the petitioner sympathetically so that he may get sufficient time to represent his case and the departmental enquiry and along with that the respondents shall decide the representation (Annexure P-8) which has been filed before the respondents within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of this order.

5. Since the direction has been given to decide the representation of the petitioner which has been prayed for by the petitioner, the petition is disposed of at this stage without any observation on merits.
