The present petition is filed for the reason that the petitioner has applied for renewal of pass-port on 26.10.2016 but the same is pending at the end of the respondents and no decision is being taken. 2.

It is contended that the petitioner is suffering with Cancer and in order to get treatment has to travel to USA to his childrens. It is stated the petitioner needs pass-port and the respondents are completely dormant and not issuing the pass-port of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondents on instructions submits that the passport are being kept in prior approval category, therefore, the local body is not able to issue the pass-port to the petitioner.

Be that as it may, the application for renewal of the pass-part is of the year 2016. Consequently, a person cannot be placed in uncertainity for such like manner as it is already 2019. The petitioner has all the right to know within the stipulated period of time why the pass-port is not being renewed and may take further action, if so advised.

Considering the fact that the application for renewal of the pass-port of the petitioner is pending since 2016, it is directed that the respondents shall take all measures taking into consideration the ailment for which the petitioner is suffering and shall decide issuance of renewed pass-port within a further period 60 days from today.
