1. Proceedings of this matter have been taken-up through video conferencing.
2. This is an application filed under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail to the applicant, who has been arrested in connection with Crime No.10 of 2020, registered at Police Station-Pamgarh, District-Janjgir-Champa (CG), for the offence punishable under Section 20 (b) (ii) (C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
3. Mr.Shrawan Kumar Chandel, learned counsel for the applicant, would submit that he does not want to press the bail application on merits, but only praying for bail on medical ground as the applicant is suffering from hernia and he is required to undergo
surgery at Aarogya Hospital, Gaurav Path, Bilaspur run by Dr.Prashant Trivedi, as such, he be released for one month.

On the other hand, Dr.Veena Nair, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State, would submit that since the applicant is not pressing the bail application on merits and he is suffering from hernia, he is allowed to be released on medical ground only for 15 days and no further time would be necessary.
5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents.
6. Considering the submissions of learned counsel for the parties, the bail application is dismissed as not pressed. However, considering the medical report and submission of the parties that the applicant is suffering from hernia and needs to be operated and he has decided to get it operated at Aarogya Hospital, Gaurath Path, Bilaspur headed by Dr.Prashant Trivedi, the applicant be released on furnishing bail bonds of ₹ 50,000/- to the satisfaction of the trial Court on or before 31st August, 2020 and he will be surrendered by 25th September, 2020 subject to the following conditions:- (i) That, he will not leave the limits of the State of Chhattisgarh during this period.
(ii) That, he shall furnish a specific undertaking that while on bail, he will not commit any offence, otherwise bail granted to him shall be liable to be cancelled. (iii) That, he shall not act, in any manner, which will be prejudicial to fair and expeditious trial.
7. The trial Court is at liberty to impose any condition while releasing the applicant on medical ground.
