1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.58/2021 registered in Police Station: Sihawa, District Dhamtari for offence under Section 306 & 498-A of the IPC.

2. As per the material available in the case diary, particularly, the statements of Sarika Mehar, Sudarshan Singh, Chaitram and Ram Bai, it appears, the applicant was regularly treating the deceased with cruelty, torturing her by physically assaulting her as also by consuming liquor and selling household articles and not taking care of the expenses of the house.

3. Considering the material available, I am not inclined to release the applicant on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the application is rejected reserving liberty to revive the prayer after examination of witnesses namely, Sarika Mehar, Sudarshan Singh, Chaitram and Ram Bai.
