Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite direction issued by this Court on 12-09-2017 to consider petitioner's claim for compassionate appointment in accordance with the policy dated 14-06-2013, till date petitioner's claim has not been considered.

I find this Court had directed the respondents in the writ petition to consider petitioner's claim for compassionate appointment the order was passed on 12-09-2017. Even though, no time limit is fixed, the orders of the Court are required to be complied with within a reasonable time. More than 7

months have elapsed and no orders have been passed. Therefore, at this stage, I am inclined to dispose off the matter observing that if the orders are not passed within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order which is now being passed, petitioner would be at liberty to revive the contempt petition.
