1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's case for promotion on the post of Agricultural Development Officer has not been considered and decided by the State Government.

2. Be that as it may, the State is directed to consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with the rules for the said post strictly in accordance with law, though the petitioner has been superannuated from the said post, within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With this observation, the petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to costs.
