1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is in respect of non granting of compensation under the Land Acquisition Law in respect of the land situated in Khasra No.125/79 admeasuring 0.020 Hectares situated in Village- Jhilgitar, Tahsil Pusaur, District Raigarh.

2. According to the petitioner land was acquired for the establishment of NTPC Plant at Village Lara. Further contention of the petitioner is that the land of petitioner has not been given to the petitioner till now and he has been approaching the respondent No.2 on repeated occasions but with no substantial relief.

3. Given the limited relief that petitioner has made, writ petition stands disposed of directing respondent No.2 to verify claim of the petitioner. That while verifying, respondent No.2 shall look into the aspect whether petitioner is entitled for compensation, whether the petitioner was the actual owner of the land at the time of acquisition proceedings etc and therefore SDO can intimate the petitioner in respect of the verification and also intimate the petitioner as to whether he is entitled for the compensation or not. That if he is entitled, then necessary steps for releasing of the compensation should be done at the earliest.
