1. The limited prayer that the petitioner makes at this juncture is for an appropriate direction to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the order dated 06.07.2018.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the SECL submits on instructions, that the appeal pending of the petitioner shall be decided on its merits in accordance with the regulations governing the field.

3. On the said submissions by the learned counsel for the SECL, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents to decide the departmental appeal of the petitioner on its merits at the

-2earliest preferably within a period of 30 days particularly taking note of the fact that petitioner is going to retire on 31.07.2021.
