Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order On Board 07/09/2016 This petition has been filed by the petitioners who are working as Part Time Sweepers on a fixed salary granted to them at the time of their appointment on the then existing Collector Rate. Petitioners have approached this Court claiming minimum wages as per minimum wage fixed by the Collector. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have submitted representation for grant of minimum wages, however, the same has remained pending without any decision till date.

The pleadings and documents placed on record show that the petitioners were appointed as Part Time Sweeper on the wages applicable in the case of Part Time Sweeper on Collector Rates.

If after their appointment, wages have been revised, the case of the petitioners are also required to be considered for grant of appropriate and existing minimum wages prescribed by the Collector.

Accordingly, petitioners' case should also be considered and appropriate orders in their cases are required to be passed on their claim for grant of appropriate wages according to current rate of wages applicable to the category of employment, in which the petitioners are employed. The District Education Officer, District - Jashpur shall consider petitioners' claim and take appropriate decision. 5.
