1. The present petition has been filed with a limited prayer for a direction to the respondents for scrutinizing the dues payable to the petitioner on his retirement.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has retired from service on 31.08.2012 and that till date his retiral dues has not been settled. Neither the respondents have intimated the petitioner that his retiral dues has been withheld or forfeited for specific reasons.

3. This court at this juncture is not inclined to keep this petition pending any further and ends of justice would meet if the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents No.2&3 to look into the grievance of the petitioner and to ensure that his papers for retiral dues be processed immediately and if he is entitled for payment of retiral dues, the same shall be released along with

interest @ 6 percent per annum from the date of retirement of the petitioner till the date of actual payment.

4. The senior citizens like the present petitioner should not be forced to run through the corridors of the court for no fault of his seeking for the benefit of retiral dues after putting so long a service with the respondents.
