The limited relief sought for by the petitioner in this petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider and decide his application for diversion of land bearing Khasra Nos.1284/4, 1285/2, 1286/3, Area 0.29, 0.77 and 0.14 Acres respectively for the purpose of construction of shopping complex.

The writ petition was filed as early as in July, 2016. By efflux of time, much water must have flown.

Given the limited relief sought for, this court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the respondents are directed to ensure that the pending application of the petitioner, if it has not been decided till now, let the same be decided at the earliest within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
