This appeal has been preferred against the judgment dated 02/05/2006 passed in Special Criminal Case No. 99/2005 by the Special Judge, Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Bilaspur (C.G.), whereby the Appellant has been convicted under Sections 294 and 323 of the IPC and sentenced with fine of Rs. 500/- and to undergo SI for 6 months with fine of Rs. 500/-, respectively.

During pendency of this appeal, vide order dated 14/05/2019, the Appellant has been acquitted from the charge framed under Section 323 of the IPC on the basis of compromise took place between the Complainant and the Appellant.

Counsel for the Appellant submits that since the Appellant has only
been sentenced to pay Rs. 500/- under Section 294 of the IPC which he has already paid, therefore, he does not want to press this appeal. 4.
