1. Mr. Satish Gupta accepts notice on behalf of the respondent/State.

2. At the outset, learned counsel for the State submits that the present writ petition can be disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 to take a decision on pending appeal of the petitioner vide Annexure P/3, dated 19.01.2016.

3. As per the submission of the learned counsel for the State, the present writ petition is disposed off with a direction that the respondent No.2 shall take all the necessary steps in ensuring that the appeal of the petitioner dated 19.01.2016 is decided at the earliest preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. It is made clear that if the respondent No.2 finds that he is not the appellate authority, he may mark the appeal to the concerned appellate authority.
