1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to consider petitioner's representation claiming seniority from the date claimed by him.

2. In view of the above, I am inclined to dispose off the matter with a direction that representation of the petitioner shall be considered and decided by respondent No.3, the appointing authority, within a period of 6 weeks.

3. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits o the case.
