Learned Panel Lawyer appearing for the State/respondents would submit that against the order of Inspector General of Police dismissing the appeal, second appeal would lie to the Director General of Police by virtue of Rule 262 of the Chhattisgarh Police Regulations, to which Mr.Atanu Ghosh, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner may be allowed to prefer an appeal before the Director General of Police within thirty days.

The prayer appears to be fair and reasonable.

The petitioner is permitted to prefer an appeal before the Director General of Police within thirty days from today and in turn, the Director General of Police would decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law and on its own merit.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition finally stands disposed off. No order as to cost(s).
