1. Heard.

2. The applicant has preferred this application under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail as he is arrested in connection with crime No.54/2019 registered in Police Station Birra, District Janjgir Champa, C.G. for the offence punishable under Sections 376, 506-B of the I.P.C. &

MCRC No. 4310 of 2020 Section 4, 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that applicant not only ravished the prosecutrix aged less than 18 years but also defamed her by writing his name along with the name of prosecutrix on the school wall, river bank and at other public places. He has also circulated her photographs over social media. Victims's father has entered his appearance through High Court Help Desk.

4. Learned State counsel would oppose the prayer for grant of bail.

5. Considering the nature of allegation and for the fact that trial is almost over, this Court is not inclined to release the applicant on bail.
