1. Heard.

2. This is an application filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the applicants, who have been arrested in connection with Crime No.62/2018

MCRC No. 4165 of 2020 registered at Police Station Hirri, Bilaspur for the offence punishable under Sections 364(A), 394, 201, 120(B), 328 of the IPC.

3. Although the applicants are in jail since 18.3.2019 but the allegation against them is very serious, inasmuch as, they have made the victim unconscious, abducted him, demanded ransom of Rs. 5 lakhs and committed assault & loot while the victim was travelling in his Maruti Suzuki Dezire Car from Bilaspur to Bemetara. The applicant No.3 is also indulged in committing theft of Indigo Vehicle from Nagpur.

4. In the bail rejection order, the learned trial Judge has mentioned that the trial is at the stage of recording accused statements meaning thereby that the trial is at its fag end.

5. Considering the seriousness of the offence, this Court is not inclined to release the applicants on regular bail.
