1. The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not granting the petitioner with the selection pay scale due to the petitioner w.e.f. 2017.

2. Today when the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the petitioner drew the attention of this Court to an order passed by the Public Information Officer under the respondents dated 27.03.2021 whereby it was informed that case of the petitioner for grant of selection pay scale from 2017 onwards is under consideration before the respondent authorities.

3. Given the said observations by the authorities concerned, particularly in respect of the claim of the petitioner being under consideration since 2017,

-2this writ petition at this juncture is disposed of directing the respondents to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner for grant of selection pay scale w.e.f. 2017 at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondents, so far as order passed by this Court is concerned. 5.

With the aforesaid observations and liberty to the petitioner, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
