1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondent Waqf Board in not granting wages/honorarium payable to the petitioner since April, 2020.

2. According to the petitioner, he has approached the respondents by way of representation and wants a limited direction from this Court to the respondents 3 & 4 to take a decision on the said representation at the earliest.

3. Mr. Malay Shrivastava, advocate, appearing for the Waqf Board submits that he has instruction to say that the petitioner has already resigned from the post of Mutwali and therefore he would not be entitled for any further honorarium and that there are other grounds also which dis-entitles the petitioner for honorarium beyond April, 2020.

4. This Court does not want to enter into the merits of the case at this juncture as the limited relief that the petitioner has sought is for a direction to the respondents to decide the representation that he has raised.

5. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of directing the respondents 3 & 4 to take a decision on the representation that the petitioner has raised, on its own merits, in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the field, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
